♫ Now listening to : Space Oddity Good evening everyone! I hope you are well. Today, I will talk about the exhibition dedicated to David Bowie at the Philharmonie de Paris.
Alors d'abord parlons un peu du lieu en lui-même. J'ai une histoire avec ce lieu, une histoire de longue date enfin... Plus sérieusement, cela fait plus de deux ans que je vois sa construction évoluer (à chaque fois que je prends le périph en fait, impossible de le rater ^^) et je dois dire, qu'encore aujourd'hui, son architecture ne me semble toujours pas très claire. J'aime certaines parties mais d'autres pas du tout. Enfin bref, j'ai un avis partagé. De plus près en tout cas, c'est quand même plutôt beau (voir photos plus bas).
So first let's talk about the place itself. I have a history with this place, a long history... Seriously, it's been over two years since I see the construction progress (in fact, every time I take the road it's impossible to miss it ^ ^) and I must say, even today, its architecture still seems "unclear". I like some parts but others not at all. Anyway, I have a mixed opinion. Closer anyway, it's still quite beautiful (see pictures below).

Mais maintenant entrons dans le vif du sujet : l'exposition.
Alors d'abord à l'entrée, on nous donne un casque. D'emblée je me suis dit: "Euh ouais non, les audio- guides non merci" et puis quand j'ai mis mon casque sur les oreilles, j'ai comprit. Dès la première pièce, on est totalement plongés dans l'univers David Bowie. Sa voix nous chuchote à l'oreille, c'est comme s'il était là, avec nous. On se déplace ensuite de salle en salle avec ce casque sur la tête. Parfois on a le droit à des chansons et ça c'est plutôt cool! Chaque salle est comme une nouvelle étape, elles illustrent toute une période différente. C'est une véritable expérience sensorielle et auditive!
Une des salles que j'ai le plus apprécié c'est celle qui est consacré à David Bowie au cinéma. Et oui! Non seulement il était chanteur mais il a aussi joué dans de nombreux films (Furyo, Labyrinth, Basquiat...). Je n'en ai vu aucun pour l'instant, mais ça ne saurait tarder!
But now let's enter the heart of the matter: the exhibition.
So first at the entry, we were given a helmet. From the outset I said to myself, "Uh audio-guides thank you but no thanks" and then when I put my headphones on, I understood. From the first room, it is totally we're immersed in the world of David Bowie. His voice whispers in our ears, it's like he was there with us. Then one move from room to room with the helmet on the head. Sometimes there are songs and that's pretty cool! Each room is like a new stage, they illustrate a different period. It is a true sensory and auditory experience!
One of the rooms that I liked most is the one that is dedicated to David Bowie and cinema. And yes! He was not only a singer but he also starred in many films (Furyo, Labyrinth, Basquiat...). I have seen none yet, but I will soon!
On sort de l'exposition en ayant l'impression que cet homme a vécu mille vies, fait tout ce qui était possible de réaliser... Et surtout, on a envie d'en savoir encore plus! Ce qui est, je pense, un très bon point. Je ne m'éternise pas plus et vous invite à vous y rendre pour vous faire votre propre avis. L'exposition dure jusqu'au 31 mai donc vous avez encore deux semaines pour y aller.Voilà, je vous laisse avec mes photos maintenant. (Petite précision quand même : il n'y a que des photos de l'extérieur puisque les photos à l'intérieur étaient interdites).
We left the exhibition with the impression that this man lived a thousand lives, done everything possible... And above all, we want to know more! Which is, I think, a very good point. I do not want to bother you with my writing no more and invite you to go there to make your own opinion. The exhibition runs until May 31th, so you still have two weeks to go. Now I leave you with my pictures. (Small precision anyway: there are only pictures of the outside since the pictures inside were forbidden).

Et enfin, juste pour le plaisir, je vous laisse avec une des plus belles scènes du cinéma selon moi: quand Denis Lavant court sur "Modern Love" dans Mauvais sang de Leos Carax (pour ceux qui n'ont pas vu le film, à voir absolument!)
And just for the pleasure, I leave you with one of the most beautiful cinema moment : when Denis Lavant runs on the song "Modern Love" in Mauvais Sang directed by Leos Carax (for those who haven't seen it yet, it is a must see!)
